16 DAYS SAFARI WILDLIFE KENIA

DAY 1: MOMBASA – TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK

Pick up from your hotel at 6:00am and drive to Tsavo East National park, game enroute to lodge for lunch as well as check in afternoon game drive includes exploring the largest park in Kenia as well as have a chance to see Red Elephant of Tsavo and other different kind of wildlife. All meals and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge or Manyatta Safari Camp or Ashnil Aruba Lodge.

DAY 2: TSAVO EAST – AMBOSELI (MOUNT KILIMANJARO)

Early morning drive to Amboseli National Park game enroute to lodge for lunch as well as check in afternoon game drive gives more opportunity to encounter different wild animals e.g. elephant, lion, cheetahs etc. All meals and overnight at Sentrim Safari Camp or Oltukai Lodge or Amboseli Serena Lodge.

DAY 3: AMBOSELI-ABERDARES

After breakfast, drive south via the biggest open air market in east and central Africa (karatina). Lunch at Outspan Hotel. After lunch special transport takes you into the forest to spend a night at the treetops. From the comfort of your lodge, built on slopes of the Aberdares Mountains, you can see a procession of wild animals visiting the waters hole and saltlick. Dinner and overnight Treetops lodge.

DAY 4: ABERDARES – SAMBURU

Drive north to the Samburu Game Reserve. An evening game drive will acquaint you with semi-desert ecosystem. Take a guided nature walk; visit a local village and village and learn Samburu life and culture. All meals and overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp or Elephant bedroom camp.

DAY 5: SAMBURU

Experience a full day of wildlife not found in the south Somali ostrich, gravy zebra, reticulated giraffe and gerenuk; return to your camp for all meals and overnight.

DAY 6: SAMBURU – SWEETWATERS

After breakfast we head north to Mount Kenya region. On your way to Sweetwaters stop at the equator and have special demonstration. At Sweetwaters, visit the rhino and chimpanzee sanctuary. All meals and overnight at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp.

DAY 7: SWEETWATERS – LAKE BOGORIA/BARINGO

After breakfast drive to Lake Baringo where the hot water springs abound and plenty of medical springs. After lunch, visit Lake Baringo, a boat trip to see various species of birds and ancient caves. Dinner and overnight at Lake Baringo Club.

DAY 8: LAKE BARINGO – LAKE NAKURU

Leave after breakfast and drive to the home of millions of flamingos and white rhinos and about 350 different bird species. Truly an Ornithological Paradise. Dinner and overnight at Mbweha Luxury Camp or Sarova Lionhills Lodge.

DAY 9: LAKE NAKURU – KAKAMEGA FOREST

Leave after breakfast and drive to land of mount Elgon and dense forests with about 350 different bird species and beautiful flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Rondo Retreat Camp.

DAY 10: KAKAMEGA FOREST – LAKE VICTORIA

After breakfast drive to Lake Victoria. . Truly an Ornithological Paradise. Explore the history of the Kisumu town and the surrounding islands of the Lake. All meals and overnight at Kiboko Bay Resort.

DAY 11: LAKE VICTORIA – MASAI MARA

Leave Lake Victoria for Masai Mara Game Reserve after breakfast. On arrival proceed to the camp/lodge. After a short rest proceed for a game drive in search of black maned lions, elephants, cheetah, buffalo and other plains game. Return to Tipilikwani Luxury Camp or Sarova Mara Camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 12: MASAI MARA

Full day game viewing in the Mara with an option nature walk, Masai village visit a balloon safari with meals breaks. Dinner and overnight at Tipilikwani Luxury Camp or Sarova Mara Camp.

DAY 13: MASAI MARA – LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast, leave for lake Naivasha. After lunch, visit Hells Gate National Park and the geothermal power plant proceed to Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge or Lake Naivasha Country Club for dinner and overnight.

DAY 14: LAKE NAIVASHA – TSAVO WEST

After breakfast to Tsavo West National Park with picnic lunch. Afternoon game viewing drive and a visit to Mzima Springs (source of drinking water for Mombasa) return for dinner and overnight at Ngulia Safari Lodge or Severin Safari Camp or Kilaguni Serena Lodge.

DAY 15: TSAVO WEST – SHIMBA HILLS

Have an early morning game drive. After breakfasts make another game drive before proceeding to Shimba Hills Reserve where you arrive in time for lunch. Have your evening game drive before resting for dinner and overnight at Shimba Rainforest Lodge.

DAY 16: SHIMBA HILLS – PROCEED TOP YOUR BEACH HOTEL

After breakfast drive through Shimba National Park, then drive back to hotel arrive in time for your lunch.
